Probably one full battery and maybe 7-8 minutes?

Chris
Whats the cfm on that thing? You’re talking 7-8 minutes per tire right?

Man some of you guys must run small a** tires, dont drop the psi low enough, have all the time in the world to waste, enjoy buying things multiple times, enjoy yelling at your compressor that just died after overheating or are waiting to meet people like me that’ll approach you asking if you need help airing your other tires back up.

maybe Im spoiled in being able to air a 35” tire back up in 40-45 seconds using co2 but I kick myself everytime Im forced to use my viair 400p thats an awesome compressor for tires smaller than 33”.

but a quick note...if your compressor advertises being able to inflate an air mattress or pool float, in x amount of time, then its not high enough cfm to be inflating 35” tires.

i have an 88p which does well, if I ever decide that I am wasting too much time, then maybe upgrade to the 400, but I bought the 88 to at least support 33s. I have been piecing together togo items for travel that take as small of space as possible.

400 is all you would ever need.

35″ X 12.5″
FILL RATE
0 to 30 PSI
5 min. 20 sec. (± 15 sec.)
15 to 30 PSI
2 min. 45 sec. (± 05 sec.)

Like I said, it took me 36 minutes to air up (4) 35x12.50 tires from 20 to 40psi and (2) 285/75/16 from 30 to 45 with my via 400p. I also know this because my truck shut off twice while idling and that auto shutoff is set for 15 minutes.

Looking forward to giving the new ARB twin compressor kit a go with the 2-tire indeflate hose system.

Ive never considered having on board air compressor but toying with the idea of having one and tying it in to the accessory switch. Where do people typically mount these? In the engine bay? Under the car some year? Real estate in the back?
Thoughts?
I added the Ford on board air to my build but noticed the jumper cable battery connects. Now I see from google search there are compressors that mount under the hood and could connect to the aux switches.

FYI, I own one of these and think this will prevent me from wanting to increase the price of my rig.

Chris
Won't that take like an hour and a few batteries on four 35s?
I was thinking like 15 to 35
I'll do a real time test when I have a minute.

Chris
Alright, just finally did a stopwatch test. Dropped one of my 31.5" KO2s to 20 psi and brought it back up to 35 psi. It took 5:18. Battery still on top bar when I put it back on the charger.

So, I might have overestimated, but I didn't also realize just how flat 20 psi was. I've never aired down that much.

Didn't want to have bad information provided, so figured I'd come back with a correction.

I run 18-20 psi in all my vehicles (2 w/ 35s, 1 w/ 32" tires) when off-roading. That 5:18 to air up from 20 to 35psi is definitely slow.
