Post your 2.7L Bronco Ford Performance Calibration Tune review

Just got mine installed on my 2Dr 2.7 this mothing. Had way more points than expected and it completely covered the PP and install.

shift points are way better and the transmission feels much, much smoother. Only about 60 or so miles on it during the ride home so I am sure it’s still adjusting so will comment more later but initial impressions are very good.

I'm convinced that this tune is the way to go, but I can't justify spending $700 on a mod for a leased vehicle if it's VIN locked forever. @LethalPerformance Does the VIN lock remain even after the factory tune is restored?

Also, has anyone combined the Ford ECU tune with one of those MAP/IAT "tuners" that fool the ECU into thinking that boost and temps are lower than what it is?

I bet it would work, but also be a recipe for engine meltdown...

UPDATE for 2023 MY Broncos - The 2023 Calibrations should be available shortly. We're expecting a 49 state release first and then a 50 state legal release to follow that in about 4 weeks.

As soon as we get word from Ford Performance that it's a go we'll make sure everyone is aware.

So is this going to be downloaded with my VIN if I am in CA regardless of whether it’s 50 state approved yet, or will the download be blocked?

Also curious about additional dashboard screens for IAT temps, I saw a Raptor had additional performance data and wondering if this tune unlocks these additional performance data menus in the dash. I couldn’t seem to find any forscan option to enable them and wondering if it’s a module that isn’t loaded by default.

Also wondering if VRtuned would be safe to use with this, anyone try that?

The VIN lock is for the flash tool, not your truck's PCM.

Just wanted to add something I noticed.

Not only can stop start be permanently disabled but it seems lane keep assists can also be permanently turn off when the calibration installed.

I was told by my rep on Monday of this week that they are aiming to release 2023MY stuff mid next week. Hoping it happens for all of those who have been patiently waiting. As soon as I have confirmation that they have been released I'll be sure to make everyone aware.

If you haven't used the procal you have on another vehicle you'll just await the release of the 2023 cals and then register on Ford Performance's site to receive your 2023 cal. If you have already used your device on another vehicle you'll need a new device for the new vehicle as they are vin locked.
