When Delta overlooks a flight, they raise the compensation in $100 increments until they have freed up the needed seats. I think if they did the same with Wiltrak, the right level of incentive would be over $5000. Maybe $7500. Aftermarket suspensions and hard tops are quite pricy. The Adaptive Cruise Control on Lux is a big draw. I wonder how many people would switch their orders.

heh. Yah, that "Walk away" doesn't need to be there. They could have just said 'cancel order' and we'd all get what they mean.

Unfortunately, from what I've seen some people say on here, it's not "walk away" but "run away and never look back" at this point.
The "walk away" is what makes me think this might be bogus. I can't imagine Ford would use verbiage like that when communicating to customers who are goin g to be angry already about the new policy.

"Walk Away" is a term of art. I had to look this up and it just means that the order is still there for the dealer to do what it wants after you decide you do not want it (customer walks away from the deal). It's not really cancelled unless the dealer wants it to be with Ford.

Everyone on here probably knows this but I didn't.

I feel for everyone that canā€™t the Bronco they orderedā€¦ We ordered a 2 door Big Bend last year at this time , like so may others the order never went through. We were very luck to find an OB that someone did not take delivery of and got for MSRPā€¦ So finally I take delivery tomorrow on the the reconfigured Big Bend 4door! 11days shy of a full yearā€¦. These are crazy times.

In the not to distant future theres going to be a book on surviving BronconGate 20-23. A look back on the psychological effects of the Bronco buying experience. This book will be used in Academia to research how businesses can find new ways to crush customers dreams.

I say donā€™t compromiseā€¦. Order what you want and wait till they can make it. Itā€™s well worth the wait. If you give up something just to get a Bronco, youā€™ll always wonder how much more youā€™d like it if it was what you wanted.
I went through all the constraints in 2021 and got mine AFTER many 2022s were delivered, but I got exactly what I wanted.

I agree šŸ’Æ%. Mine is being built later this week with every constrained option. I know I could have gotten it sooner, but I wasnā€™t willing to compromise.

The way I read the tea leaves is different this time. Ford is actively saying that they intend to F'over reservation holders and wipe their orders from the order banks at the end of February.

This is no different than them clearing out the 99 orders, but unfortunately that scheme didn't purge enough orders, so Ford is doubling down to get rid of reservation holders.

Ford intends to purge reservation holders as quickly as possible. My money is on believing that this is the case.

Walking away isn't an option really unless your vehicle situation has changed and you wouldn't want the Bronco otherwise. Otherwise just stand pat, roll the dice, and if your order gets swept, life goes on. If your order manages to get scheduled, you won the lottery, rejoice.

I don't read it that way at all.

Ford is basically saying, it's impossible to build all the Wildtracks, Lux, Sasquatch, and MIC hard tops on order this year.

Change to a 4-door floppy top and your truck will get built. Don't change and we wipe your order if it's not built by model year closeout.

Ford still has 8 months of schedualling for MY23. They probably have 40,000 Wildtracks on order, and can build maybe half of that.

That may be true, but Iā€™d rather wait and get what I want. I will have waited two years, by the time I take delivery. Iā€™m fortunate that I want a Bronco, not need a Bronco.

I deal a bit in customer relations on a professional level, so when I see this I just cringe and have to ask who on earth approved THAT abomination?! A big company like Ford and no communications gatekeeper? Is this a leaked document or did they really just send that to a whole bunch of customers?

Maybe the document was meant to be internal, only to the dealers. The official customer facing document says "run away". ;)
