Regarding a manual. I think a manual with the standard transfer case and gears may be a bit of a challenge on an obstacle like that. But the manual with the auto transfer case and the 4:7 gears gets some very nice very low gearing which might make that obstacle easier with the right tire setup than it is for an automatic.

I've seen that guy on youtube. He's been bouncing that rig since he got it. If the tire sidewall wasn't so large, that bouncing with that load on would likely snap the axle shaft. The sidewall of the tire absorbs much of that shock load that occurs.

So he’s a nice guy that cannot drive. I’ve stalled many times with a manual. Guess what, when you stall IN GEAR. It is basically like locking up your brakes. This was an automatic (I’m assuming) otherwise he had his clutch in. Give me a break on a smooth rock like that traveling down light in front. You should be able to turn that wheel the correct direction with one finger while the engine stalled. Get out there and experience it first before bitching at the complainers who may know what they are talking about.

Rock climbing wouldn't be exciting without the thrill of danger. His problem here is when he realized he was coming back, he should have turned his steering wheel left and squared off the back end.

Question….since this vehicle was built with removable body panels ,for just such events, after watching this video, does anyone know if the vehicle air bags can be deactivated when rock crawling? If they deploy when a Bronco rolls over like this, there will be a whole lot of hurt at the body shop.
While it’ll definitely give some codes you can pull the plug on the RCM, which I believe is under the shifter console. Shouldn’t interfere with driving at all
