Take it and trade it in on the one you ordered or sell it outright.

i would be willing to wait but i have been waiting for quite some time already to just order one since i didnt have an order already. and no one really knows when they will open up the order banks for new customers. plus the wait time that ive been seeing, im think close to 2 years for what i really want. so thats why im thinking of just settling until im able to get what i want in the future if im not happy with this.
You can always order another and trade this one in on it. I can’t imagine them still keeping their value the way they are right now, but you probably won’t lose a ton. Who knows, you may end up preferring the 4 door and soft top, and lux might be something you can live without. Driving this one will help cement the choices you make when you do order another.

The used car market is going to drop over the next few years. Trading it in and getting a good value might not work this time. I'd get it anyway and just add what you want to it to get as close to the features as you want. Lower registration fees...then just go aftermarket.

Nothing worse than regret or buyers remorse. Sounds like this is nothing like you wanted. So you would be settling. I settled for a soft top and no tow to get mine faster. Now Bestop is doing a dual row Sunrider and I regret not waiting for a hard top. I'll live with it and source a hard top or rear shell eventually. Or just wait for my Chapman order to finally get built and trade out.

My rule of thumb when buying or ordering a vehicle is get what I can't easily or cost effectively do myself later. Bronco example: Advance 4x4.

I'm a two door order and I'd wait unless I was way way down the list.

I'd just get it if it's msrp and deal with trading it in/selling it later. I'm looking to buy one now and I'm on a waiting list for a dealer when banks open up. I may keep the one I get and say no thanks to an order, but I could very likely put my order in and trade the one I buy in on the other one I get.

He's not even on a list.
Haha, well that changes everything, then yes, I'd probably snag it at MSRP and then order what I wanted when I could.

The 2 door snobbery gets a little old guys. It was funny at first...like a few years ago :)
The 4 door base+sas is a fantastic value. I love mine. Take it and have fun in it now instead of waiting and waiting.

I just got my 2 door Badlands 7MT (the one I ordered 19 months ago and reserved in July of 2020). I had the opportunity to get a 2 door Black Diamond with the automatic in December of 2021. I could get either one of them at invoice pricing but only one not both. It was hard to pass up the BD but I did. Waited another 10 months before my Badlands arrived. Very happy I waited.

Patience is a virtue.

Idk I probably would get it
Who knows what will happen down the road
You can trade in later
…But then again badlands Lux vs basesquatch
WAIT it’s worth it
Especially if you plan to rock/crawl
