Hey Bronco 6 gen, shout out to everyone on the forum.

I’ve been reading everything I possibly could in the last few days awaiting my delivery.

The two things that strike me as more important than any new overpriced mod or bolt on part are *theft prevention* and
*rust prevention*

Most importantly theft prevention. I’m interested in thoughts on fuel pump cutoff switches, battery cutoff switches, fuel relay cutoff switches or anything at all to keep this BEAST in my driveway!

🙌

That’s a good plan but thieves don’t need to connect to your fob to tax your ride…..

1. Enable SecuriAlerts in the FordPass app to receive notifications if anyone opens a door or hood; then you can immediately report the incident to police via the app &/or honk the horn and flash the lights to alert others of the unauthorized entry.

2. Install aftermarket skid plates to make it more difficult for thieves to steal the catalytic converter.

I'm finding 1 to be less than useless. Many times there's a significant delay in reporting. And I just end up deleting 56 entries by me.

Keep your fob in a Faraday pouch.
I'm a cop. I've been a cop for 23 years. Do you know how many of the stolen cars in my town during those 23 years DID NOT have the keys left in the vehicle??? No?

Two. Yup two. Every other stolen vehicle the owner left the keys in the vehicle or they left it running while they ran into a store.

Don't be dumb. Keep your key fob in your pocket. If someone really wants your truck they will take it. Everyone else is looking for the easy target.

I’m sorry to hear that. My experience has been the exact opposite. My notifications are almost instantaneous. Sometimes I get the driver’s door alert before I even buckle up and start the engine, and the hood opened alert before I even hook up my Battery Tender, much less exit the garage and enter the house. 🤷‍♂️

There is a “theft prevention” built into every Bronco. Hesitant to promote it since it may get out to thieves and they learn the work around.
Consider the capabilities available with the Bronco.;)

This ^
I re-enable recently and between the unreliable push notifications and the 20-30 min on avg delay it's not a viable option. Just today it decided to push "my driver door has been opened" 30-40 minutes after I went inside with the current time for the event. So I thought someone was breaking into my Bronco.

Show me where Broncos are being hotwired, then I'll worry about it
