I've calculated the angles/geometry/tire size/density of the sand/vehicle weight/temperature/speed/blinker fluid levels/etc. and determined that the 2dr would also have become stuck.

Can you explain this for the amateur off-readers? I wouldn't think there would be anything wrong with using reverse, and reverse usually gives you a better gear ratio.
The 2dr would have been just as stuck. And since 2dr owners have no family or friends apparently, they would be lonely up there as well.
4-Door Owner, speculating like I did when Michigan barely lost to UCLA (after missing their last 8 shots) and then projecting what Michigan would have done against Gonzaga.
4-Door owner trying not to think about the 4-door getting stuck and feeling better after hypothetically thinking the 2-door would have gotten stuck too.

@timhood In reverse you are powering with the back sides of the ring and pinion gears. The way they are cut makes them not as strong in reverse. This is powering through the "coast side" of the gears. If this is really significant or not is debatable and probably only makes a difference with big tires and huge horsepower.

I rode past this same car wash. Being that I had more room to think in my 4 door. 2- door guy at work the next day complaining about how ruff the couch was last night.The 2dr easily made it ! Then got stuck in traffic up the road due to the local church bikini car wash.
I was watching the video, and then turned my head and was just listening. The driver was very vocal throughout, almost a little too much so, and then there was just silence. I guess he probably had a bad day from that point forward. I think if he had taken the hill a little slower he would not have bottomed out so bad, but who knows this stuff happens in any school bus ;o)..... just kidding love both Bronco's but am getting a 2 DR.
