Great topic!

Straight from Ford, probably limited to roof rack and any hard-top headliner (helps w/ dBs?).

Once folks like Extreme Terrain get up to speed:
  • Seat covers (unless I get cloth seats stock).
  • Tube doors.
  • Lock box.
  • Mesh top.
  • Tire deflate/air pump.
  • Fire extinguisher.
  • Down the road, might look into a winch, soft top,
I love Extreme terrain and really hope they get into the Bronco stuff. If so, that's who I'll be getting a lot of my stuff from.

I'm not sure what I'll get from Ford. Right now I'm leaning toward a roof rack, but not sure. I want to be able to have the modular top so I can remove as much as possible, without removing the roof entirely. I'm not sure how difficult that would be with the rack, and hope it can be removed easily as well.

You do any overlanding? This sounds like a pretty aggressive set up for normal road driving.

The rigid lights they showed off on the front looked nice.

Also thinking of go pro and phone holder for the mount

I don’t subscribe to the overlanding thing, but yeah. I prefer to say that we go wheeling with a mattress. ? Current plan is to keep the Tacoma as the camping rig and build the Bronco as the weekend wheeler and my daily. ⚡

That's a pretty sweet setup. I've seen some other Tacoma set ups that made me look at Tacoma's. I like the size and ruggedness of them.

Wife and I plan to take the bronco on a nice long trip up to Nova Scotia so the rooftop tent is definitely in the cards.

That water jug, is that lifesaver by chance?

I’ll do lighting front and rear, flat purple wrap, bumpers, speakers, 37’s, interior lighting unless stock is bright enough, retractable side steps/rock rails, and possibly winch. After I get a feel for the interior I may gut the interior and go fully custom

That is hilarious. Make sure to get the right model of GF. Most won’t get in the mud like that. You want to make sure there is a lifestyle fit!

Can be hard to find the right one. I am sure your new Bronco will help. Best of luck!
I'd go for more of a wildtrak type of GF myself. Or FE. What are you into? Big Bend?

Yup. I bought as an experiment to have pressurized water & the ability to filter on site. It works well, but honestly I prefer my basic Spector jerrycan.

They're pricey. What's the verdict? Yay or Nay?

I think I'd get some MetalTech step sliders if they end up making 'em for this rig. I had those on my FJ and liked them. Throw on a little grip tape and you have a nice, 100lb step that will outlast the rig?. I'm also interested in the roof rack and tailgate thing. Once a 3rd party soft to pops up for the 2dr I'll prolly snag one of those, too. Also: sheep skin seat covers ?

If you need to gather water on site and filter regularly, yes.
if you just want running water, maybe... but there are other options out there.
If you just need a durable water can, no. Buy a Spector

We have a big blue plastic jug we got at Dicks for $20. Holds 7 gallons of water we use for hikes and cooking and coffee. As we "car camp" now with my wife's Tiguan, our only vehicle, it's fine for now but once I get the bronco I'll need to get something with a bit more quality.

The blue cube shaped ones are hard to beat. Function over fashion.
