Along the front of the hoods, on both sides, are odd plastic Things sticking up.
Do they have a use?
t believe this to be trolling ,,,how can anyone that loves broncos ask this
but ok we all start somewhere
its a trail sight its used for many things ..end of bronco tire placement tie downs etc
they are removeable can be upgraded with lights or painted love them or hate them
i have mine with writing in them

They can be very useful as an anchor point when carrying a canoe or kayak. I personally like the way they look.

Thanks for your response, and no I am not trolling.
I have wondered since the Bronco became interesting to me months ago, and I began looking at them.
The sales woman I spoke with at a Ford dealer, had no idea what they were for.

i like mine and get use out of them ...some delete and or upgrade them
i use them from sand flags to tying off hammocks etc lol

They're tie down points. I think they're called Trail Sights for the benefit of people who didn't order the roof rack or ordered a soft top. Those people wouldn't be carrying canoes, kayaks, etc on top of their Broncos. The marketing department had to come up with a name. The lawyers probably made them do it.

Broncos don't need "trail sights" because, unlike Jeeps, you can see the corners of your fenders. These won't work any better for tire placement beause of parallax.

Since they go by many names, maybe it's helpful to know what Ford calls them. This is in the Owners Manual. Resisting reviewing this is pretty common.
