Seriously, I will take mine without a top and park it in the garage at this point. I really don't even know what to make of the email. It would seem to me they could build more Bronco's if they made the 4-door soft top only and focused their hard tops on the 2-door since there is no other option for the 2-door at this time. I'd gladly take one of the fast back soft tops for my 2-door if they have it pre wired for the hard top. I am down one vehicle and have put off buying a "beater" because the market is crazy. I just wish Ford would be more clear. Am I not getting my Bronco until mid 22' or early 23'? Just tell me so I can plan accordingly.

There's supposedly some archaic law that prevents 2drs from being sold with a soft top. I guess you can't get a Jeep that way either.
My neighbor has a 2dr Jeep bought w/soft top, so that’s not it.

Softtop with free prep kit.... decision time! - Was going to get a softtop anyways but went hardtop to get the wiper and defrost(assuming it has the defrost) + winter considerations. Not sure the stock soft top is going to be as nice as a bestop aftermarket and I can tough it out for 1 or 2 winters.

Correct but only if your production date is in September or later.
no that’s not how I read it..you can still buy a hardtop, but no mod tops but hard tops will be delayed

"we won't be able to solely produce customer orders."

So they'll be producing thousands of 4DR Big Bends with soft tops for dealers to sell while we wait for the hardtop Broncos we ordered a year ago. Unreal.

And 2DR Bronco orders are screwed. Lovely.
Has anyone confirmed with Ford that this is the case? I wish Ford would be specific in the information they toss out to us.

It only applies to those of us that ordered dual top to begin with.
I ordered a Badlands with MIC top and my email had the part about pass points. 🤷‍♂️

I also have a July build date that may or may not change. No communication about that yet.

I figured I'd wait until more dust settles before worrying about the points. now if they'd only stop kicking up more dust.

Sounds like I can go ahead and get that new RV I have been pining over now. It will be paid off by the time my driveway has a new horsey in it. :(

In all seriousness, I will be playing with the bronco on Wednesday, so I will decide then if a soft top will work for me. I kind of want both tops for this area anyway. Seattle has 2.5 seasons so both would be nice.

Good to know. I couldn't find anything concrete about it. There was a discussion about it on here once.

This is insane.

UN-BE-LIEV-A-BLE

What is wrong with Ford!!?

This should give Jeep plenty of time to sway customers with an updated Wrangler.
They already are. Ford and Webasto are such clusterfuck that Jeep has already had time to respond to a vehicle that's barely even started shipping. First the 392, now the 'Xtreme Recon'. Not to mention the hybrid as well...

Ford is pathetic. They should've been looking for an alternate hardtop supplier a year ago.
