One of those cancellations from before the order window opened was mine. I had 2 reservations with you. One from the end of August and another in mid October. I had waited until it was obvious that the earlier reservation really wouldn't make much difference on when my build would happen and both would be well into MY22. I had never intended on keeping both reservations, so that cancellation shouldn't be taken as a negative reflection on Granger. On the contrary, as excited as I [still] am about the Bronco, if it weren't for your professionalism and transparency I would buy something else. My tolerance for "dealer games" is zero. So thank you again for keeping the Bronco in play.

I'm curious about those who are waiting for 22's..our own stars here show 2% rather than the 12% Granger has so far. And yeah, supply chain will tell the tale.
7% of the people have voted here. If you follow those lines and take that up to 30% with all else being similar like grangers it would take you to a little more than 8% push to 22. So it is following what is estimated on the forum roughly.

Is Granger mandating down payments? Some are canceling on that alone. Just wondering if there's a different reason granger customers would cancel as opposed to other dealers.

I switched my reservation from my local dealer to Granger several months ago. My original $100 deposit was immediately refunded. Granger has never asked for another cent, including when I put in my order last week.

Kinda hoping my reservation gets bumped up to be a MY21. Back on the fence after seeing a green option and Heritage edition for MY22, though. I was pretty much at 99% certainty on my build, before that.

I think you're gonna see a lot of people moving up after all of the cancelations. When all is said and done for MY21, I think most everyone will be happy.

I think Granger is an outlier of conversion performance due to their direct open communication, offer, model, and forum support. Handling the volume they have is not a walk in the park I imagine, God knows I would want to tackle that...even 1/3.

I think Granger has a more dedicated or at least motivated enthusiast base that will stand out in the numbers and good for them not just planning this but executing that plan.

I still feel at the end of the day the norm/overall Ford level pull thru will be in the 40% range from my time in banking. I will gladly say I was wrong if it shakes out better than that. I just think it is all fun and games until you sit down lay out the money and/or finance to close the deal. Maybe I am wrong wont be the first or last time.

Thanks for the updates and status Granger.

Zach said back in January...

“I think our situation is probably not the norm for most other dealers. Since the majority of our reservations came after the October 1st date.”

That’s probably due to the October deal ($2,000 below invoice), where most people either wanted a 22MY delivery, were expecting one because they arrived at the party late, or just wanted to save money and were willing to wait.

Are you a Granger customer?
If so as customers Zach and Albert have emailed all of us outlining what their expectations for down payments are...

I'm not a granger customer. If I was, I would have that information. I asked because of cancelations. If they're asking a high, nonrefundable down payment, I can see customers bailing. My dealer refunded my reservation cost, knocked off fees and didn't ask for anything down but I have a solid history with them.

Thank you. My dealer did the same as well as knocked off a pricey fee. Can't wrap my head around cancelations.....

We as Granger customers feel pretty damn confident of what was asked of us for down payments .... as transparent as they have been do you think they would be that kind of dealership that would require a “non-refundable” deposit ...

I think you may be misinterpreting my question. I just got a response from another Granger customer stating that their reservation was refunded when they converted and weren't asked for a deposit. The question was directed at Granger. However both of your responses tells me that there are certain factors that tell them who needs deposits and why. Maybe, just maybe, seeing how your experience is different from others, maybe that would explain their cancelation percentage. Going back to my original reply, it was only about cancelation concerns, nothing to do with bashing the dealer or their customers

Most dealers are facing some level of cancellations. 7 months have passed since July. People have lost jobs due to COVID, moved to another state, been deployed by the military, bought a new vehicle, or simply got frustrated by increasing delays or by the lack of handholding from a wholesale manufacturer selling direct to end users. Some people placed multiple reservations simply to hedge their bets. 🤷‍♂️
