Colorado Group Buy with Granger

Hello fellow Coloradans (and nearby neighbors). A small group of us have been sharing notes on our progress working with our local Ford dealerships and in short, we all came to the same conclusion. Up to now, not a single CO dealership has been very transparent or are willing to be competitive with a well-known Ford dealer and member here, @Granger Ford. Albert has been nothing short of fabulous in this forum representing Granger Ford in Granger, IA (approximately 700 miles from Denver area) and for our small group, we decided to change our reservation to Granger and are inviting others to join us. For our small group, it came down to the combination of transparency and excellent pricing… and with that we decided to work with Granger.

So here are the details followed by links with more details. Granger is offering the following pricing for out of state buyers:

Invoice -$1,300 if you have X-Plan (if not, you can sign up for $25 here)
+$100 DOC
+$45 Transit tag
+$425 Group Shipping (handled by Granger) - this is a discounted shipping rate so there are a couple of caveats in this estimate:

I'm in.

I've been talking to all the CO dealerships near me, and some not so close, with no luck. Was 98% sure that I was going to switch my reservation to Granger and now I'm 100%.

I will probably fly in to pick up and drive back. Or if we have time, we'll make a road trip out of it. If super time-constrained, we'll ship, but that's the least cost-effective option it seems.

The estimate in the first post was from Lepke Auto Transport from Chicago. Unless anything changes between now and say, next Spring, they will be handling the shipping for us and it will be coordinated through Granger. Groove Ford, in Centennial Co, is only a few minutes away from me but this Granger deal is very tempting. Going to reach out to Groove to see if they can match the deal. If not then it looks like I might join in on this group buy.

I love that Bronco owners are sticking it to the CO Ford Stealerships. In my experience, they will all do whatever they can to take advantage of the enthusiast demand as they have with Raptor, Focus RS, GT350, new S550 Mustangs when they came out, even for all these vehicles that aren't limited production. Sadly, that does mean that their allocation will just be scooped up with ADM without a struggle for those that are none-the-wiser, whereas some of us could be lucky and get one at MSRP. Now, more of their sales will probably get ADM, which will confirm their shady tactics.

The more folks that are in, the simpler the logistics become with filling a truck with 6 Broncos and sending it west.

Just got off the phone with Ford customer service to change my reservation to Granger. "Those guys are famous - I switched 5 reservations yesterday".

Just went by Phil Long and really wanted to give then a last chance to be a good neighbor. No joy. I was willing to pay a little extra for local. “Cant come close” is what I surmised from their opacity.

So, Albert, I just made the reservation to Granger. Look forward to meeting you “sometime next year”.

And oh, yes please make sure all your taxes are paid at granger for a Colorado (or wherever else) registration. Its a pain to go register and pay that 3 or 4K out of pocket.
