Well, today is the day I finally convert my order. I've delayed because initially I did not fit into my dealerships allocation, and was potentially considering changing to one much further away that I *might* have a better shot at. After the news on the 42% conversion rate nationally, I feel like my odds have gone up in my favor. The dealership received 78 allocations, and my 7/15 11am reservation put me in line at number 105. That particular dealership would have to had converted 75% of their initial reservations for me to get bumped into the next order batch. And knowing full well that the banks still have a little over a week, chances are others could still convert and bump me further, but thats a risk I'm comfortable with.

I've just emailed the dealership to see where my reservation would slot into the allocation as of today, I'll keep you guys posted (if anyone even cares)

I emailed the following to my dealer:

Hi Doug,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you regarding converting my order. I was concerned because initially you mentioned that Bell Ford had 78 allocations, and my reservation was at number 105. But I read yesterday that nationally there has only been about a 42% reservation to conversion rate. If that math holds true at your dealership (or is even quite a bit higher), it seems like my reservation may convert on this initial order window. Could you tell me where my reservation falls within the allocation as of today, and what kind of conversion rate your dealership is experiencing?

My build will include some features that have been identified by Ford as possibly leading to extended wait times (due to high demand), however I do not have any of the items identified by Ford as "Late Availability" or anything that would push my order into a model year 2022 Bronco.

Let me know where my reservation would currently slot in. I'd like to come by the dealership sometime this week and convert once I have all the information and my ducks in a row

Thanks again,
Tom

He responded with:

Tom,
Our conversion rate currently is only about 31% and nationally ITā€™S 38% so based on that they could lower our allocation ?

Really we just donā€™t know because there are 20-30 orders within the first say 100 that havenā€™t given us an answer or ordered yet ? I personally have about 5 still left to convert so that will help if I can get these done.

Also, I just cancelled 2 of my customer reservations today, both would have been after yours anyway.

Thanks,

I have a feeling more people will drop out when they find out they aren't going to make the first quarter delivery window. And then more for the second one. And so on. I'm in for the long haul so I'll just post incessantly on the forum until I have something in the driveway. Then I'll figure out how to post from the trail.

I'd offer that the rush is over. I don't think a large portion of 'will converts' waited till days from the end. Pretty sure they were kicking ready to go and closed the deal as quickly as possible. I'd be surprised if Ford gets anywhere near 50% on conversions.

You have a really good shot at a 21! Also the salesperson who wrote you back is legit and giving you accurate information. I'm a bronco specialist in Idaho so no skin in the game there, but it's nice to see that at least some dealers are sharing accurate info with their customers! There is no advantage in waiting even if you do get a 22 better sooner than later right? Great looking build!

So 50% want green or Mansquatch or white top?

It will be interesting to see where they land by the end of 2022. Would love to be a fly on the wall when they go through the "why they didn't convert" study in Marketing.

Once these hit the streets and people see them, that's when the next craze is gonna happen. There's going to be a lot of bummed people saying "well if I knew I could put in a reservation I would've done it!".

I think you are right. There could be a May mini-exodus when they start informing about delivery times.

Which mean the next schedule cycle could look a lot different. Has anyone on the site plotted when the reservations where submitted? I assume a majority of the people here were within the first week, but I wonder how it tapered off after that.

Just got back from converting my 7/15 order:

Ford Bronco Converting Today after 42% Conversion Rate Revealed Screen Shot 2021-03-12 at 4.03.57 PM

While I was shooting the shit with the salesperson, I asked what kind of orders he's seeing the most of, and he said without a doubt, people are ordering Wildtrak w/ Lux Package the most. We both pondered whether or not that could mean I get mine possibly earlier than expected, since Wildtraks & Lux Packages are specifically called out as one of the Deadly.

Then I mentioned that the order banks are closing soon. He said it wouldn't surprise him in the least if Ford extends the conversion window, citing their dealership only converted 31% of orders, and nationally Ford only converted 38% (I know we've been told 42% here, but seemed pretty adamant the number is actually 38%). I obviously hope that now the case, and they get cracking on these conversions, but it makes sense would want to report a higher conversation number publicly.

Well, now I guess I sit back and wait like the rest of you early converters.

The order banks are not closing. They will remain open.

The deadline is only for what orders will be considered towards a dealershipā€™s allocation and for production in the first quarter.

They will extend the 'deadline'. Never any doubt of that since the instant they set one. Always enough people waiting for the last second and then complaining they couldn't get it done in time for some reason. Wouldn't be 'fair' to penalize someone for not following the rules.

Another report on nationally low take rate. So what's left to "allocate" for MY21 ?
If Ford can't build your truck because of commodities, then they might be building dealer stock for MY21
