having a base 4 door with mod bumper, I already have the front bash and engine skid. Is it possible to piece transmission, transfer case, and gas tank skids from ford? If so which parts are needed? I’m sorry if this has already been answered
Yes and you don't want to do the fuel tank plate. The whole accessory kit is less than just the tank plate by itself. List price on the MB3Z-9K014-C is $921.96

I paid like 540 picked up for all the factory skids for my base Sasquatch. If you just want a gas tank skid I’d check this out. They have a auto trans skid that will work with the factory skids.

yeah I was going to get the transmission, transfer case, and gas tank from them. Seeing the cheap oem transfer case available from ford, I’ll probably do that to save a few bucks, then use Asfir for transmission, and either Asfir or JCR for gas tank.

thanks!

Where did you get your factory skids from at that price? Just took delivery of a base Sasq myself and am in need of those plates...
Ruxer Ford in Jasper IN. I just checked and now they are 720. I looked up my invoice in my email and at the time I paid 554. Part number MB3Z-5D032-E

I'm more than familiar with Ruxer and the deal they offer us, but I don't recall ever seeing it that cheap. And no, unfortunately I'm nowhere near Kansas City.

So after reading through this thread I didn't see a PN for the transmission skid plate.
Looking to add it to Base + SAS w/ mod bumpter. Does anyone have the PN?

Transfer case PN is: MB3Z-7E063-A
I could get the skid kit: MB3Z-5D032-E ... I just don't know which skids it includes.
Based on what I see here it has the
- front ( I already have it)
- engine ( I already have it)
- transfer
- gas tank.
Does it not include the transmission plate??

I don’t think there’s an oem transmission plate. Check 7m 51s into this LiteBrite video. Notice theres a small plate covering the sway bar that I don’t think you have, but it’s still not covering the transmission either. I think you need to go aftermarket. Asfir’s is less expensive than JCR, but also much smaller. Earlier in the video he talks about the low cross members. I could be wrong but I think JCR’s skids sit below the cross members and cover them, making it a smooth surface. If that’s right, it would also be a little lower but I suppose it would solve getting stuck on them. He also goes on to show how the oem transfer case skid bends up. Asfir sells a bracket to strengthen it, but shipping is expensive. Instead of buying oem transfer case skid plus the bracket, I think I might just get the Asfir plate instead.

Thanks, you're correct that there is no OEM transmission plate.

It looks like the ASFIR transmission plate (https://www.asfir.com/gear-box-skid-plate-599660.html) may not play well with the front+engine plates that come with the modular bumper. In the installation video it shows cutting the plastic engine plate to make room for the transmission plate (see )
Of course I don't have the plastic plates.

Would the badlands version of the transmission plate fit?? https://www.asfir.com/gear-box-skid-plate-599661.html

There are a few people with base mod bumper that used the original transmission skid with the oem bash and engine skid with no problems. Search one of the Asfir threads for more info

@flip is the transfer case skid the same for 2 and 4 door? i.e., does MB3Z-7E063-A work with 4 door?

I don't know. The -B shows for a 4D but it won't pull a pic of the -A

I took my base with 285/75r16 no lift off road. Was getting some scraping and I noticed that there is a little plow mounted on the frame in front of the gas tank, it still has mud stuck on it also noticed some scrapes on my gas tank, there is a strand of plastic dangling from the back of one of the scrapes. Definitely need a skid plate before going out again. Been shopping a few brands of Skid plates for the gas tank and am leaning towards Asfir at this point.
