My wife just reminded me of the time we drove our Mustang GT convertible from Daytona to Boston, non stop, with the top down. Now that was a headache! o_O

I feel like you're getting a fair number of responses that are either biased, or not specific to the use-case you're defining for yourself and your wife. Here's my take after 9 months of ownership.
1. The quality of plastics ranks lowest amongst all the cars I've owned, which includes an old 3-series, a VW GTI, and a Mini Cooper. I'm not saying it's bad, its just utilitarian. I'm offering up those comparisons because your wife is most likely NOT going to like it if she's used to luxury interiors. All the folks saying its better than Kia interiors haven't been inside a new Kia (wayy better).
2. The other aspect of luxury is a quiet and comfortable ride. This is a square BoF SUV, and you're not going to get either even with the IFS. Again, it's relative to what you two are probably used to or want. The Bronco does feel fairly well put together, except for an annoying tailgate rattle I've had for a while.
3. Why wait until your vehicle gets delivered? Just walk into a Ford dealership and check one out. Other than the seats, I don't see much else that's different across trims interior-wise.

Seats (power/non-power/heated), head rests (adjustable/non-adjustable), materials (MGV/leather/cloth), floor covering (rubber/carpet), floor drains (active+passive/passive only), fold-down rear armrest w/cup holders, stereo packages. Not necessarily trim-level distinctions, but definitely available options for the interior of the vehicle.

Just to give you another data point, I’ve got a 4 and 6 year old in booster seats behind me and the passenger side with a forward facing convertible seat in between. I’m 6’4 and have the driver seat where I want it and the 4 year old has plenty of leg room. 6 year old is good too. They both can kick my seat of course but they aren’t smooshed behind me.

Didn't read the whole string, but if I could do it over I think I'd have gotten cloth seats and put leather katzkins in. They're super sharp.

We have a 22 black diamond mid package with Mgv seats and the wash out floor. Got 7000 miles and the interior has held up well. My wife went from a loaded limited expedition and she loves it. Yup it's not quiet and the trim is plastic but it is an off road truck. I also have a 2019 jeep wrangler and I think the two are about the same quality. The bronco screen and sync system is 100 times better than the jeep. You are going to want some seat covers for cloth seats for sure with kids.. Driving the bronco is tons of fun take the wife for a drive with the top down and she will love it.

If you want luxury, this may not be your place. Dont think Jeep Wrangler is luxury with for that matter. The fit and finish in the Bronco is in line with what it is built for. No complaints from me nor people that look at it.

Sure, but you're referring to features (some of which aren't really about luxury tbh), whereas I'm referring to materials and feel. YMMV, but for me that contributes more to a luxury feel than the odd feature here or there. It's also what the OP seems most concerned about, so I tailored my response accordingly.

Plastic panels scratch just looking that them. My cargo area looks beat to hell, and I’ve had it for 9 months with little use.

Leather seats and other parts are ok, from my experience.

Yes but you’re getting into the realm of what are you really wanting/needing
Have you seen the interior of a Kia recently? I'm not a Kia fan or anything, but the Bronco's interior isn't even close to as nice.

I agree with everything you said. I dont think my wife will be impressed by the interior but it’s not as important to me. We’re coming from an Audi and a BMW and our other car is a model Y. Granted the Tesla interior is actually fairly basic for what it costs. But I’m not expecting any ford to be anywhere near the same quality interior as any of the above mentioned cars and frankly it will be a daily driver for me and more of a mall crawler. I’m just thinking it’s gonna be a tough sell for a $60,000 price tag, cloth seats and a utilitarian interior. Lol. We’ll see.

My dealer doesn’t get a lot of bronco inventory. I’m waiting for him to hit me up when a ā€œhigh levelā€ package comes in as so I can head over and take a look. He said he’d do that but I haven’t heard from him.

The Bronco isn't really the rig for high maintenance people. My opinion is it's just a vehicle. I've had it 10 months and put 12K miles on it and haven't really paid much attention to the interior. Stuff works likes it's supposed to and that's about all that matters to me.

My wife prefers her Genesis and has no interest in my Bronco. She's driven it a few times but would prefer to drive her own vehicle. I'd suggest letting your wife pick her own vehicle so she is happy and you do the same for you.

Honestly I love the interior. I have MGV and its amazing. Super easy to clean. Love the UV protected rubber buttons, and the seats are super comfortable. Its definitely not wrapped in leather to seem luxurious but its great. Its a rig that is meant to be utilized outside and the interiors match that. Its by far my favorite car Ive owned (Jeeps, FJ's, Allroad, 4Runner, Tundra etc).

The funny thing is I dunno my wife is complaining….I’ll be the one driving it. She didn’t want the Tesla and now I don’t get to drive it at all šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

My 2022 OBX is being built soon and I’ve got some hesitations regarding the interior. I got the high package with 12 inch screen and the cloth seats.

I know it’s not a luxury vehicle at all but my wife in particular is used to higher end interiors. I’m imagining the interior to be super cheap plastic that doesn’t feel sturdy at all. I’m still waiting for my dealer to call me so I can physically see (and drive) for myself. Figured in the meantime I’d ask.

Anyone who currently has possession of their bronco pick it up with the same hesitation over the interior and if so what are your thoughts after owning?

Not looking for the ā€œit’s an off road what do you expect?ā€ comments.
Looks like you have a ton of replies. Go find one and test drive. The Bronco is more like a truck than a car. I have 13k miles and some of the interior is scratched. It can be cleaned/reparied so if you want a lux suv get a Range Rover. I hear the Bronco ride is better.
