So you crawled under and visually inspected after Sourgrass and before you noticed the tire wear? Unusual tire wear doesn't show immediately. If the tire isn't far out of alignment, it may not show for quite some time. Unless there were unusual objects on those fire roads and your speeds were Baja 1000-type speeds, the fire roads didn't cause the damage--it was something that happened earlier, and of the things you've mentioned, Sourgrass (or something similar you've trekked but not mentioned) may be the culprit.
Sounds like you know it all man. Your a smart guy for sure.

I actually did inspect after sourgrass. Something I have always done with all my vehicles after track days or trails.

Relax...

I'm not wound up. Your common sense is already telling you what you know: there's no way your fire road driving did this. You would have known when you body-slammed something. So if it wasn't that, what's the next most logical thing?

I am willing to bet that it wouldn't be the first time Ford delivered a vehicle that had significant damage occur during shipping and neglected to disclose it.

True. Although, he said he inspected it after going off-road and saw no damage. So, Ford would be in the clear by his own admission.

I think pictures would go a long way here. Just speculation without seeing what the actual damage is. Uneven tire wear over a short period of time is usually something you feel in the steering. Tire wear over a longer period sometimes has no indication while driving. How did it drive on this last trip? If you looked at it the last time you off roaded it and it wasn't damaged but now it is, it didn't happen by magic. Something caused it. Get us some pistures.

So I’ve bent this part myself on both sides. It happens from pretty hefty rock hits as that’s some super thick metal. It’s a pain to bend back. I has to get a fab guy to heat it up, straighten it out and then we welded on gussets. Barnes makes em. No more bending since.

So glad that I’m playing it safe and avoiding bendy parts by limiting myself to mall crawling. Those speed bumps can get squirrelly sometimes though!

I ran something similar on my 2006 Tacoma race truck. They held up through A LOT of abuse. Definitely worthwhile cheap insurance, especially if you're handy with a welder.

Barnes has so many great parts for the Bronco... This is going to cost me... But thankfully I can weld, so it won't cost nearly as much otherwise.

"Yeah, it burns, but it's because I ate asparagus. It's not what you think. I checked."
It shouldn't burn, but might smell funny.
