Lifting tires looks cool in photos, but it's counter productive. Every change I've made is in an effort to keep the tires on the ground where all the traction is. The Bronco is tight as is and needs quite a bit of limbering up.
Your absolute correct.

That said, stated ground clearance on that package is 12.9". Bronco needs to step it up.
My non-sasquatch OBX on 33's is at 11", and I would suspect that it would be around 12" on 35's.

So with a 1 inch suspension lift, the Bronco would be right there in the ballpark of 12-13".

I second and third all the comments about TJs. They are just incredible rock crawlers. I had an xj with 32s...my friend had a TJ with 32. I struggled over every obstacle. He went over them like they were nothing.

I think everyone should be on the same page that the Bronco is a better mall crawler and the jeep is a better rock crawler.

I’m at 14 with 35s and Icons.

I’m 70. I’ve owned and own LCs(every model #), several LRs, Broncos, CJs and many, many other 4x4s…..enjoyed them all. Each had their strengths and weaknesses.
I now own a Badlands 4dr non-Sasquatch and absolutely love it…….headed to Big Bend in a couple of weeks and to “use” it like I’ve done with its predecessors over the last 40 years…..can’t wait!
I won’t be looking for rocks to crawl……unless they are between me and where I’m going camp that night. Hope all of the “roads” are open!
I’m with Dick and Mark! Think I’d like y’all if I knew you. I for sure like how you ”see” your Broncos for what they are and don’t try to make them what they are not.
Time for bed.

I've wheeled my EB for over 10 years and with it sitting now on 43's it's gotten a bit boring so I'm looking forward to a new platform, hence why I ordered a 2DR Badlands to play with.

Here it is on 37's

I've wheeled my wife's 4DR Badlands Sasquatch and man it felt similar to the EB but daaaang is it low and long. I'm not certain how far I'm going to push the 6G but I probably won't play in the rocks of Gilbert OHV right away but in time I plan on pushing the limits with the platform. The constant tire lifting and teder-toding was interesting at first. With my wife behind the wheel I thought we were going over a time or two, but it didn't....

I havn't spent any time behind the wheel of a 2dr but articulation is the name of the game and the IFS will take some getting used to but I think it can be beneficial to carry a tire instead of jambing it down on certain obsticles. I'm most looking forward to getting back to driving something to events and driving it home afterwards.... like the rechless days of wheeling your DD in highschool.

I will say I was really surprised at how low the Bronco is and how it liked to carry wheels around at the off-Roadeo. It did drive great though. I do plan a trip through rubicon but do not expect it to be a no brainer like my EB, cj2a or cj7 were. The problem is more than 3” of lift or more than 37”s isn’t really practical or economical with a new Bronco. But really my “wheeling “ days are behind me and the removal top and highway comfort are now the two more important things too me.

The regular Bronco trims-as opposed to the Bronco Raptor-are not as effective at rock crawling nor were they designed to be as some jeeps. But yeah they actually rock crawl. Maybe not to your liking but that is beside the point. And where broncos don't do the rock crawling to the same specificity of some jeeps, the bronco does so much more-overall.
