After seeing all the comments about a Subaru forester having more ground clearance than a bronco, it looks like forester may be my next vehicle.

Son had Element and did the same thing at 120,000 miles. no one could find problem, thought it dangerous on highway and traded it in. otherwise, liked car.We had an Element SC - it was cool, but it had issues - it would randomly (maybe once a year) lose electrical power at highway speeds ... multiple trips to the dealer to get it resolved were unsuccessful.. .we ended up getting rid of it. I had no idea it was coming back
Yea as crazy as it sounds, the Subaru Outback is the only car that has made me stop and think. It has similar cargo space, more rear leg room, and can be had fully loaded with their new off-road system and a decent turbocharged engine for about 36,000. Every other vehicle I have tried to compare was a similar price to my BD bronco or slightly less. This was the first one I found that I could live with and was significantly lower in price. After seeing all the comments about a Subaru forester having more ground clearance than a bronco, it looks like forester may be my next vehicle.
Stick with Ford and look at the Ecosport. Some pretty cool things people are posting online with it's overlanding capability.I’m sitting at the BMW lot right now, this X5M is badass!!!!!!!!
