Who the F### at Ford design the rear of the Bronco to make it f%%%%ng useless for towing unless you remove the spare tire every time
Who the [bleep] buys a vehicle that obviously has a big spare tire hanging on the back and then comes to a forum to whine about it instead of just getting a small extension? Duh.

With my particular set up I have to open the rear door 1" to flip the ball lock down. Then I can close the rear door. Annoying but I'd rather do that then add more drop/extension.

I use the standard hitch with the common 2” drop…I would need at least a 4” drop to be fine but at that point the trailers will be pointing down which is a no no
Tounge pointed down is actually preferable and provides much safer handling characteristics than tounge high..

I got a 4" drop and my utility trailer is still angled up a bit...

No problem getting it hooked up, though.

I'm wondering if OP has suspension mods and 37s or something.

I've pulled my teardrop trailer and also my quad trailer since day 1 with no issues, well only issue is can't open rear door when pulling trailer because they thought copying Jeep would be smart instead of a drop down tailgate
Would have been interesting how a drop down tailgate with spare tire would have worked on a Bronco.
