Yes, another V8 Bronco post, who would have guessed?

Key for the poll below:

Price
1. Price is largely irrelevant, I just want a V8
2. I would buy a V8 if it was within $10,000 of the 2.7L engine.
3. I would buy a V8 if it was within $3000 of the 2.7L engine (similar to F-150)

Performance
I. Performance is irrelevant
II. I would only buy a V8 if it performed better than the 2.7L engine

Engine Setup
A. I would be willing to buy a V8 even if it was equipped with a turbo or supercharger
B. I would only buy a V8 if it was naturally aspirated

Configuration
#. I would be willing to switch my trim or number of doors if it meant I could buy a V8
@. I would only buy a V8 if I could get it on my desired trim and door configuration

------

Obviously this is not a perfect poll, but I really tried to hit the highlights. I know some of you are extremely picky and need a specific V8 (ie. Coyote or bust, or pushrod V8), but if I kept adding options it would be overwhelming. (Definitely reply with your desired engine in the comments though, I'm curious.)

What's the reason for this poll??? A large chunk of the community wants a V8, but I don't know the circumstances people would buy a V8. I think we all know that if Ford offers a V8, it would be a special configuration on the Bronco Raptor, similar to the F-150 Raptor R which costs $110,000 MSRP. But would you buy a Bronco Raptor R at close to or over $100,000?? For me the answer is "absolutely not", but curious what others think.

Your survey is missing six options. Not sure why the $10k V8 only has the irrelevant performance choice and why the $3k V8 only has the superior performance choice.
Put me down for a 3 I B@

Oh shoot you're right, fixing it, copy and paste is hard I guess.

Unfortunately... I can't change the order at this point, so it's all out of order now. But the options are there.

When I first started reading the key I sort of expected Electronic Ignition vs. Points, Fuel Injection vs. Four Barrel and Overhead Valves vs. Flathead.

I would love a $110k V8 Bronco, but that’s just way out of my price range.

I’d prefer to see an accessible V8 option for all trims/price ranges. Even a lower output NA V8 at the base level and then crank up the HP to a TTV8 for the Raptor level.

Yeah I know some people gonna want that... but a poll can only get so big before people look at it and be like "f' that I ain't reading this". (I guarantee some people are already doing that.)

I love V8s, but in the Bronco I'd prefer they add 2 cylinders to the 2.3 I4 and create a straight-six, keeping the manual. With the single turbo and low gearing, that would be a torque monster.
100% agree. Love straight six engines.

I didn't even want the V6 let alone a V8. But this I'd pay an extra 10k for.

2-door, manual transmission, naturally aspirated V8

I don't trust the turbos to last nearly as long as a naturally aspirated V8. And of course, no stick, no Bronco.

Whelp... based on the responses so far it's probably a bad idea for Ford to release a Bronco Raptor variant with the 5.2L supercharged engine. People want an affordable V8.

Maybe it's time to resurrect the 4.6L 3-valve.

Manual/automatic was originally one of the questions I had, but took it out.

I bought a 2.3L, and the primary reason why is because it came with a manual transmission. I would not buy a V8 if it didn't come with a manual transmission... which probably means you and I will never be driving a 2021+ V8 Bronco. It is what it is.

None, v8s are dead, it's time to accept it and move on. Let v8s be for work trucks until they fully die.

I don't need a V8 in my Bronco. I already got one in my '65 Mustang.

I wouldn't say it's a bad idea. More options are almost always better.

I just doubt they would do it on all trim levels, more of a Bronco Raptor R kind of thing, nor do I believe it would be offered on the 2-door models.
