Would any of you buy a hybrid Bronco?

One of the reasons I didn't buy a 4xe Jeep is because of the weight. It's over 800+ pounds heavier than a regular Wrangler. My Bronco is already a chunky monkey, another 800-1000 pounds? Uhhhh...I don't know about that.

I would've bought one 100% if they were out when I purchased my Bronco in January. NO way I would purchase one now seeing how the prices would be astronomical: no end in sight to these price increases. On a side note, I had my Bronco in for its first oil change and I cannot believe the prices of ALL vehicles now while I was on the showroom.

I had to cast my vote before time expired because I like to think everyone’s voice is important.

Plus I only chose the last one because Metallica. It’s the only proper response.

I’m in. I’d buy one in a heartbeat if ford doesn’t screw it up. Last month I spent 8 days in a Sahara 4xe and it was awesome. It was so smooth on takeoff from lights and it just felt great as far as power. I realize 90% of the time I was using ICE power because the only charging was brake regeneration, I had no idea how to or if I could plug it in but when it went electric it was awesome. I was 100% in the “ no way in hell” camp when I considered if I wanted one before that and now... 180 deg turn around for me.

In fact, in light of fords total and unending f up in this whole bronco production, it the seating would lower just a few inches more in a JL I’d give up on my dream of owning a bronco and grab a wrangler.

Long winded way of saying, yeah. I’d love a hybrid bronco.

Let me put it like this. A hybrid requires a few batteries. With (using a two door as an example) how little space is available already. Keeping in mind how most (many) remove the spare and that’s where they place the hybrid batteries.

Yes I know, my wife drives one. What does that have to do with a Bronco? There are plenty of places to sneak some batteries. Granted not all of them are great locations but there are a lot of spots to do so. Provided Ford does not screw the pooch on it I would happily jump on a hybrid Bronco. But more so I would be hyperventilatingly happy if they put the hybrid driveline from the F150 into the Expedition.

So, when I vote "Maybe, depending on its performance" , what I have in mind is a V8 supplemented with the electric motor .... I just saw a TopGear on the McLaren P1, so I'm sold on hybrids now. LOL

Lots of super cars use electric motors because the are more responsive than gas motors.
