What’s the maintenance intervals on the fluid with the manual transmission? I’d probably do it the same time I do the axles.

It says "filled-for-life", lol!

As far as fluids go, there are many that fit the specs out there. Some of the Mustang guys go a little thicker version but that would not seem to be a good idea since our noise starts off mostly when cold so a thicker fluid may make things worse.

“lifetime”. Absolutely BS.

I’d inspect the t-case and diff fluid at 50,000kms and again at 75. If all is ok, I’d swap all fluids at 100,000kms.

Need to see what all was updated. Good to see they did something but 3 model years in when the issue was present early on? Wow!

Here is what is in mine

You were previously having the manual trans noise issue, and waiting for a replacement trans? Is this "E" unit the replacement trans installed in your Bronco? Did it get rid of the noise issue, or too early to tell?

The new transmission isn’t available yet. They just released the assembly change.

I have had severe noise. My noise never goes away. Hot/Cold, Long Drive/Short Drive, Clutch in/out the noise is always there. Here is a video of my noise:




Nov '22 I took my bronco in for the noise, the dealership said it was normal.
Dec 12, '22 the TSB came out.
Dec 13, '22 the dealership ordered the TSB parts for me
Jan 4, '23 my Bronco went in for TSB.

During TSB more parts had to be ordered which were on backorder.... my Bronco is still there today in the lot with the transmission removed (March 30, '23)

At this point Ford has decided to just replace my entire transmission, and based on the "-E" revision, we can assume that Ford has retrofitted the new transmission with the TSB and/or resolved the issue.

In the mean time it has been 86 days and counting...of me driving my 4th loaner car and w/o my Bronco. That video shows 3766 miles on my bronco.

True but more than likely there will be a new TSB. That should give a glimpse of the changes.

I doubt that also.
They may update old TSB with the new synchro part number and add 23MY, but I wouldn’t expect more than that.
Either way though, as long as it fixes the issue, that’s all that matters.

The TSB has already changed parts. The syncro rings are now "-D" revision, instead of "-C"

It still shows C and needs updated with the new part # and 2023 added. Parts when you order supersedes to D.

All years have issues, however TSB covers 21,22 only as TSB came out in Dec of 22. Yet 23 owners have issues too
