Hello everyone, thanks for all the great info!
My wish is to have the 2 door 2.7 manual with heated seats, privacy glass, 17" wheels, vinyl floor, modular roof and that slide shelf. Since this also needs to be my daily ride and finances are always a thing, I will probably get the 2dr, 2.3 with auto and add on comforts later. Being new to off road fun, I want to add on what I need as I learn.
Right now it seems like the Base will have limited options available. Does this mean it is not equipped to handle the extras on the electric system? Should I be concerned trying to add on later will incur hefty electrical work?
Will it be an issue getting modular roof or larger wheels - no Sasquatch at the time I order? Is Ford going to punish me for getting base model?.................................
Welcome!
Bad news most likely a slide out shelf won’t be had on a 2 door as an option and most likely neither will vinyl flooring on the base trim. You would need to jump up to the black diamond...
Either way the base will be a awesome Bronc

No manual with 2.7l.

No info on different size alternators so Base should be the same as any other trim - no problems with electric and you can even get the pre-wired auxiliary switches on Base.

If you want a lot of options you will have to go up in trim (no mod roof on base). Planning to buy stuff like hard tops from Ford after the fact will be pricey but there will be lots of aftermarket alternatives.

Odds of an aftermarket hard top are pretty slim. There isn’t one for jeeps after all.

If You’re on a budget best thing is base+powertrain stuff you want+hard top+aux switches. Those will be the hardest things to change down the road.

Looks like it would cost +/- $1500 (as Jeep sells it for $1250)

Went with the base 2D model with Sasquatch pkg, shadow black, 2.7,auto. Bumpers, grill, wheels will all change with upgrades as they come available. Gotta customize it some...

Hi, All!

Been lurking for a while now. Just pulled the reservation trigger and reserved a Base 4 door. Plan is automatic(think it's standard), 2.7 and Sasquatch. Assuming this comes in under or at the BD 4 door with automatic. Color probably Antimatter Blue, though Iconic Silver may slide in as could Carbonized Gray. I also hope that 35" A/T will be a no-cost option.
Okay....after bunch of surfing on the Internet, think I'm still set on AMB, but white is actually starting to look good. I'm also coming off of the Sasquatch idea. Instead, since I live in a snowy, slushy area part of the year, I'm thinking that leaving open diffs is not a bad idea. Just put in four high in crap conditions and when you hit a "dry" patch, shouldn't have instant super traction! Plus the likely-hood of this doing hard off-road work is somewhere near zero. Most would be backroads, gravel roads, farm roads. Then at tire replacement time get new black wheels and bump up to 31" or 32" tires. If would need more traction assistance, I'd probably upgrade to a rear limited slip (Torsen most likely).

Or I could just say screw it and Sasquatch since a Bronco should sit on big wheels and tires!

I have a ranger with the 2.3 and auto and the take offs are incredibly slow and thats why I'm leaning toward the manual.. So here is my build.

2 door base
manual
4.7 gears with rear locker option---looks like this isnt an option...
Add after market lift 2" or so...
Add aftermarket wheels with 33s or 35s later......

If anyone sees any issues with these options let me know. This should give us a pretty good starting point to build a wheeling rig..

Its either this or I get the 4 door wildtrack...but thats looking like a 50k plus build.....

My biggest interest in the base would be purely cost saving. Base manual with (hopefully) a white modular hard top and steel front bumper. Then get some 33 BFGs put on before leaving dealer. Done.

Alternative is 2 door manual badlands
