I should get an award for actually reading all 55 pages worth of responses. My goal is base 4dr with the squatch in 4cyl. My current 2000 Nissan Frontier v6 4x4 4dr with 33’s only has 170hp, and that was probably 200k miles ago, it still has the power to get up and hit the freeway at 80mph no problem. I’m certain the 4cyl bronco even with 35’s will have plenty of power! Especially with a tune like the rangers. Not to mention I’ve replaced the twin turbos on f150’s multiple times, it’s a fricken nightmare, it’ll make a lesser tech quit if that’s his first hard job. I’d rather keep things stupid simple, this is coming from an 7 year dealer tech And 4 years of independent.

Stick shifts too?
Me neither. just was hoping for a first.
A lot of the newer sports cars know the gear or neutral position the shifter is in.
Sorry kids, the remote start is only available with the automatic transmission. If it were available on the manual I would bet it wouldn't take someone very long before they ran their Bronco right through the back wall of the garage. :)

Like I said, some new cars, the Corvette for instance, know when they are in neutral.

On reflection though, you wind up with a single point of failure with the gear sensor preventing someone from starting it in gear.
Sad we are all quickly rejecting what Boeing accepted for the 737 Max.

The base with the squatch is looking like a better deal, 1.2" lift.....35s instead of 32s....Upgraded axles....lockers front and rear....4.7 gearing vs stocks...Any single one of these after the fact will cost some major cash.
35s and wheels $2k
upgraded front and rear axles installed....$4k
front and rear lockers installed....$2.5k
Shorter gearing installed.......$2.5k
1.2" lift installed.......500??? Assuming some type of spacer setup..

I might end up going that route.....Not a bad way to burn $36k......

Yup, I can wrap my own steering wheel, I know a tint guy and can live without a MID in addition to the fact I do not really like the grey grill on BB.

The main reason I put a deposit on a Bronco was that it is available in a two door, plain jane trim, including a manual transmission. The only option I would really be interested in is a limited slip rear, and I doubt that will be a stand alone offering. In a perfect world base would have a rubber floor and vinyl seats. The last new vehicle I was interested in was about 15 years ago, the ARO Crosslander (if anyone even remembers that). Basically it was an Eastern European 4x4 with a US Ford Powertrain. Of course that never happened.

For the few of us still around who prefer a fairly heavy duty vehicle minus a bunch of gingerbread, the base Bronco is just the ticket.

Appears from the option survey that tow package will be available on Base. This was previously shown as NA. That is very good news - $600.

$600 sounds like way too much for a receiver and tie in to the electrical harness. Unless all these figures being posted from the survey are crazy bogus numbers and some of them do seem nonsensical that tow package should have upgraded cooler, alternator or something more
