Dealer in Las Vegas Friendly Ford just cancelled my reservation without my notice

I just drove to the Ford dealership where I placed my reservation and spoke face-to-face with the dealership's Bronco Specialist and Sales Manager to place my order. I stop in every once [in] a while to keep tabs on my order rather than calling or emailing.
This is basically how it went for me. And when I placed the order, I sat down with the salesman at the dealership and we went through the whole order together. Whatever I did online was just to make sure of what options I wanted and what I could and couldn't order with those options. It wasn't until the dealership went through all of the steps that the order was actually placed with Ford. This all happened in early February of 2021. Took a year to actually get the thing...

my question remains, why reserve anything a car,a boat a house, without being able to receive it? if you place an order as I did in July 2020, why wouldn’t that hold your place so that you could order at another time after a pandemic? Can the Ford company or a dealer simply cancel an order? Then Ford sends an email asking why you cancel? When in fact you never cancelled? Is that ok with you? My good faith putting $100 with the ford motor company in July 2020 is an acknowledgment that I want to buy a Bronco. if changes are made in the process by ford and you find out you need to wait for a certain option perhaps a two door, or change color of a hard top. So you may wait is it not not a Ford obligation to continue the process ? Ford told me recently an order cannot be cancelled by a dealer. I NEVER cancelled my Ford Bronco order with Ford. Then this is a case where Friendly Ford salesman Albero Meraz cancelied my order and the General sales manager Neil Helfrich will not return text/email/call to discuss my order? My reservation no longer exists with ford? Who cancelled ? Dealer must have cancelled without me knowing. Is this good business?
Your original reservation was not an order. You are treating it like an order which it isn't and never was. Ford was clear with their communication that you needed to convert your reservation to an order. If you never did that or completed the process, then I don't see why you're upset with anyone other than yourself.

Your original reservation was not an order. You are treating it like an order which it isn't and never was. Ford was clear with their communication that you needed to convert your reservation to an order. If you never did that or completed the process, then I don't see why you're upset with anyone other than yourself.

No dealer Las Vegas, Friendly Ford , no one should be able to cancel your reservation WITHOUTsome sort of email/text/conversation. The fact remains I was never notified by anyone at Ford the dealer if I don’t order soon that I might lose my original 2020 reservation. I’ve been in business 38 years, this is simply poor business. Friendly Ford Las Vegas and Alberto Meraz did a poor sales job probably for greed.

I’m thinking that Ford probably cleaned up all of the reservations that never had any subsequent action on them. OP had the opportunity to order in the first two model years and just let the reservation sit. It might have been considerate for Ford or the dealer to have given a last notice on that chance. But it seems to have passed.

Yes I called Friendly Ford here in Las Vegas. Mario the salesperson tried to tell me I somehow cancelled my order? That’s impossible I NEVER contacted Ford.
F*^K that ... ask for proof of cancellation?

Wait until 2023 banks open, walk in, and place an order. If you’re that mad at Friendly (which you really have no reason to be), there are three other Ford dealers in Las Vegas who get more allocation anyway.

You can go back and read Ford's (July 2020) disclaimers regarding the reservation process and what a making reservation meant. The terms specifically stated the Reservation "is not a guarantee you will receive a Bronco".
what you need to remember is Friendly Ford dealer GREED. Plain and simple. Dealer is selling Broncos $20,000 over msrp. Ford will soon be selling all Electric vehicles ONLINE. Why too much dealer GREED. IMO it can’t happen soon enough. Friendly Ford is greedy they found my reservation had some sucker to pay way over list and used my reservation. Sales 101, basic principle you start an order you contact the customer if there’s a question on the order. No communication. Why ?? because Dealer can sell it to make more profit. Ford motor company is hip to all this. So next step FORD EV will sell online like Tesla. This is prime example of dealer greed. Wake up. Read the reservation NO ONE CAN CANCEL A RESERVATION BUT THE INDIVIDUAL LAYING $100 on the account. In this case the dealer cancelled the reservation without consent.

This is exactly why you should buy a jeep. Thats what I had to do.

Plain and simple, this is on you. A year and a half later and you still haven't converted the reservation to an order? Doesn't sound like you wanted one in the first place. How many times has Ford given us deadlines to order? Even if your reservation was still active, you wouldn't be getting a Bronco. You have to actually place an order. As it is now, that would be for a 2023.
If you want one, place an order for one when allowed. Your reservation didn't mean anything now any way.

Your reservation was for a 2021 Bronco which you didn't order. You could have used that for a 2022 Bronco, which you didn't order. What exactly have you lost?
