I like that Ford is taking this retro thing seriously. What other company will bring you 1960s inspired styling and 1920s manufacturing standards all in one vehicle? It’s like the Stutz Bearcat that my grandfather burned to death in, but with apple CarPlay and seatbelts.

Got my built notification on 12/7. Sent you a message with my VIN. And here I thought my manual transmission scrape noise was my biggest problem. First Ford I’ve bought, figured I might have to endure a few recalls, but possible engine and transmission replacement before 1k miles is a little more concerning

Sorry that sucks. So far my manual has been flawless. Knock on wood...

It explains what was wrong in the picture I posted. They could get away with just a short block replacement, but with how few are probably affected, it’s probably easier to just rectify the situation by replacing the whole engine for customer satisfaction.
