If you're upside down on your vehicle and total it or it gets stolen, gap covers the difference you what you owe vs. what its worth. Without it you would be responsible for the difference.
Check this picture out. I think it explains gap insurance well.

Car insurance is like being forced to gamble at the most crooked casino on the planet where it's impossible to win, because there's nothing good that leads up to making a claim.
This is so true it’s ridiculous... I got into an accident about 2 years ago where I was 100% NOT at fault and the other guy had some crappy no name insurance... ended up paying $300 after everything was all said and done and the companies went to court. 1k deductible, insurance covered the total 3k in repairs. After court they said “here’s $700 of the 1k deductible”. All for some event that was wholly out of my control and 100% NOT my fault. Insurance is a mandated scam.

Best estimate is perhaps whatever you are paying for your current car. I would expect Bronco to be similar premium to 2020 Explorer (ask agent for estimate). Mine is about $30/mo each for Raptor and Explorer (GEICO):

WHAT!?!?! I am getting jacked. Switching to Geico.

LOL! Must be one of those overpid insurance agents!
If you've ever totaled a vehicle you wouldn't be laughing so loud.

I totally agree insurance is a must but having a family member whos in the insurance business and seeing how much he makes in bonuses(his bonus a few months ago exceeded my retired military pension annual pension) just doesnt sit right with me. i can afford it but rally wonder how people with low incomes can afford too pay out of control premiums.

Gotcha. I guess just like car dealers there are good ones and their are slimey ones. Both industries are necessary evils.

So I actually, went on Geico, and put a 4 door 2021 wrangler and it was about 800 for a 6 month premium which comes out to about 135/mo, I’m 21yrs old so idk if that’s high or low, idk if it will be similar but currently it might be the closest for insurance

I'm guessing they will all be expensive at first. First person to get in a wreck is probably screwed. How many replacement parts you figure are out there?

You fail to bring up Gap Insurance. Many are loading up their B/P wishlist. Unless they plan on having a significant deposit/trade-in, they will owe on their financing more than the vehicle is worth.

It also depends on what crash test ratings and safety features are optioned. I am not a fan of the nanny's but imagine they assist in lowering insurance costs. So here is to hoping for a 5 star crash rating...

Insurance companies are getting more and more In tune with the build data and safety features. Only part of the rate is focused on the vehicle. Your risk score, location, age , how you use the vehicle and coverages all play a part too, so it will vary like everything else. I would assume that rates will be similar to a Jeep, at least until they get experience with the repair expense and other factors they can identify as specific or statistically related to the Bronco.

Disagree. I think the value will go up in the short term, unlike any other vehicle I am aware of, ever, just because of the demand.

I talked to my insurance and had them look at a Wrangler Rubicon and they quoted my insurance was basically the same to my current vehicle so
