My Jeep gets 15 mpg with the soft top and soft doors in the summer and 11 mpg loaded up in the winter... If I can get 18 mpg with the 2.7 and Sasquatch I will be ecstatic. Anything less than 15 mpg and I will be disappointed.

I expect to be happy with the Bronco fuel economy.

It looks like the 2020 4WD F-150 with the 2.7L engine gets 18 city/23 highway according to fuelconomy.gov. The Bronco is a little bit lighter but also probably has slightly worse aerodynamics. I'm guessing the Bronco will get similar or maybe very slightly better MPG

Fantasy-land, Ford measures CO2 emissions in a lab to calculate the 'official' MPG and, every manufacturer, tweaks programing to do as well as they can for that particular load test. Don't forget the lawsuits Ford is currently litigating on the F-150 2.7 for not coming within 15% of those numbers in the real world. The Bronco may EPA up there, but most are not going to get close to the rating, unless Ford gets real with the self-reported numbers.

If MPG Us a primary concern of yours, you are shopping for the wrong vehicle. Whatever it gets, it will be much lower than other comparable sized vehicles

I have a 2 liter four-cylinder Macan.

It makes 252 hp and 273 torque. It has a PDK.

It is aerodynamic and has fat on road Scorpion tires. Under the best conditions it gets about 24 miles per gallon.

There is no way in HELL that the four-cylinder Bronco 2 door is going to get anything better than 18. Mark my words.

35's and 4.7 rear? Yeah, 15/18 unless you drive it on eggshells. It's not an eco friendly vehicle - it's a BRONCO. On my F150s and my JEEP Rubicons - 15, 15, 15 ... well that's the rest of the story. At least it will be better than the days of the V8's mileage wise, but not as much fun. ;)
What engine do you have in your f150?

Really? 6 pages on MPG? This is almost as crazy as the thread about carpet helping with road noise. Are you sure you’re in the market for the right vehicle?

If you’re that worried about MPG buy one of these.

I’m in it for top off 4WD fun. That’s worth every penny I pay in gas!

Like I tell people talking about mpg and their wranglers. Those words do NOT belong in the same sentence. I dont calculate my mpg in my wrangler and anything that gets better mpg than it, I consider good gas mileage lol. If I had to guess though, my wrangler gets 11mpg, my wife’s grand cherokee gets 17mpg and my giant truck gets the best mpg in our house with 18.1 which is funny.

Put me down for over /under at 21. 4 Dr, 2.7,no squatch. If my friends F-150 with 3.2 gets 19...seriously. We'll ll do better.

My wife has a new Mustang with a 2.3 in it. I am fully aware of the differences between a Bronco and a Mustang and that the pedal is to the floor most of the time when she is driving... that being said she gets 23mpg. I’m expecting 18-20.

this is good news

so we have to break down the math

what is the weight difference between your f150 and the bronco

and what is the potential aerodynamic differences. Pickups suprisingly , despite their bed , are aerodynamic due to a vortex that develops behind the cab
Not despite the bed; because of the bed. Without the bed and tailgate, there would be no vortex.

My wife gets 16mpg with her 3.5 (2018 F150 KR). I get 18mpg in her truck. We both use eco most of the time.

As interest, my 2013 F150 3.5 ecoboost Supercrew has an overall mpg of 16.9. It lives at 9000 feet, takes a weekly trip over and back mountain passes to 11,000.

I run up those passes at high speed to "blow out the carbon". Gear ratio is 3:73 and empty weight is 6600 pounds.
