Is there any need to leave the FP/Procal box connected? Is there benefit or does it just look cool/attract attention?

I know you can unplug it, I'm just asking is there a reason to leave it plugged in.

The only benefit you get from having it installed all the time is to monitor certain realtime parameters as well as datalog the vehicle. Otherwise you can unplug it and store it once the vehicle has been flashed.

Once I got the unit, it's pretty clear it's just a vessel for the software upload. It would not be great as a display for parameters. It's small and not awesome

It would probably be fine. I think the ecu would pull timing, but it would basically negate the benefits of the tune, and you'd lose the warranty. I would drive gently until I was able to fill the tank with 91+ again.

Just had the tune installed. (purchased from Lethal) - 100% recommend purely for the remapped shifting. The car is also noticeably quicker .

After a summers worth of driving, here’s where this thing stands out:

1. a warm engine
2. air conditioner off

then it really screams. Cold start with a/c on gives ho-hum performance overall. Still having a blast by all accounts though.

Have in hand a CPE intercooler, AFE hot/cold charge pipes, and a AFE CAI. Hoping to get some good gains off of that. Does anyone have a similar system and has had a dyno with their build. It’s a 2.7 motor
