Tied mine back. I could only get one hand down there from the top. Had to have my daughter sneak her arm in from the side to help get the zip tie started. I feel much better now

All resins start to burn once the engine start heating. That the smell you always feel at the end of the final assembly line.

Was your unit low mileage when you pick it up? less than 10 miles for example?
Yep. 4 miles at pickup. Lowest mileage vehicle I've ever owned.

I alerted my dealer who is contacting Ford engineers to pass this back up to MAP. His response was to expect a recall shortly. We shall see.

Total bs shouldn't have to carry zip ties for 50k vehicle 🙄
Just wait til you look under the hood. Half the 2.7 is held together with zipties.

There are probably 25 in that photo. Maybe its my imagination, but the 2.7 looks a lot cleaner than before. Everything is zip tied down and far less is just flapping.

Or it was Friday and a regular human was working. (That's why I hope mine is built on Tuesday)
Mine was built on the Friday before 4th of July weekend 😳

Skipped right past Dirt Mountain, no issues so far.

Glad I ordered the 2.3L. My dealer would likely deny the warranty claim because I "modified the cooling system" if they found a zip tie on there preventing a catastrophic failure.

Just got my Bronco. I'll check it in the morning.

The 2.7 engine looks cleaner in my bronco than past examples I've seen. I think they've changed/improved it a bit. All the wiring harnesses that were flopping around are all nearly ziptied and tucked out of the way.

My bronco is a brand new build (not dirt mountain) so is the V2 for this model year. Not sure if they changed it or just doing a better job.

OT , they are built elsewhere ? Thought DM was the only place

THANK YOU SO MUCH! Easy fix, and yes, the nylon sheath was frayed on mine (~400 miles in). Frustrating that they didn't catch this through all of their testing.

Mine wasn't touching but you can see the crappy plastic attachments that are just waiting to fall off. It's easier if you go from the front. You can fit your hand easier and attach above the Ford plastic piece. Literally right in front of the fan on the right side

Mine wasn't touching, but was loose enough that I didn't want to risk it any futher. Ziptied down, no more worries. Thank you to everyone.

Checked mine and it looked about half an inch away from touching. Still will zip tie it though to be on the safe side.
