I had only the tiniest of hopes for a stick option, but still disappointed. (My wallet will be happy, at least!)

as much as the 2dr or 4dr 2.3 or 2.7 lol. I'm sure they'll have the GVWR issue as well and maybe the cooling issue for anything above 3500lbs.

It seems like FCA's strategy can be summed up like this:
  • "That thing got a Hemi?!"
  • When all else fails, throw more horsepower at it
  • There is an enthusiast group for every car as long as it has 500+ horsepower
  • Price to the customer is no object as long as we can say it's in our catalog
  • 500+ horsepower makes any car cooler than yours
I for one am certain that that this V8 Wrangler will not be available for less than $50k. Therefore they have disqualified themselves from my potential new vehicle list... It's that simple for most folks. Many people's number is much lower.

I said it wouldn't happen and Jeep proved me wrong. If I wasn't dead set on a manual transmission I'd highly consider the 392 if it's not outrageously priced.

Could easily see this being a one or two year option. Emissions regulations and all. FCA is in real trouble with their throw a Hemi/bigger Hemi/blown Hemi in everything strategy. I've not really seen that they have a backup plan once the EPA takes that away. I guess they're cashing in now while they can.

The 392 looks pretty good, I'll definitely consider it over a Bronco. I have absolutely no need of the 392, but it still would be lots of fun. Ford overall reliability though, much, much better than Jeep. Ford is #10 out of 32 vehicle manufacturers in the 2020 JD Powers survey, Jeep is #26.

Ford needs to put a tuned version of the 3.5 EB in the Bronco, like the ford GT, crank it up to 600 HP, with a manual transmission. At the very least actual paddle shifters like this Rubi 392 has.

So, 3.73 gears with 470 lb ft of torque, in direct drive on the transmission, that is 1753 ft lbs to the wheels, with the broncos max gears of 4.7 and the 2.7 with 400 ft lbs, that is 1880 ft lbs.

Throw in the 10 speed in the Bronco, weight ranging from dramatically lower to at most 200 lbs heavier(depending on many factors), and the bronco probably won't actually be too far behind except on the top end. The bronco will also be a heck of a lot more stable too.

The Bronco / Wrangler battle is getting intense and is on like donkey Kong!

I might have just sabotaged my Bronco reservation by watching the 392 reveal.

I have an FE and WT (backup) reservation and hate both interiors. Late availability modular top, lack of interiors has me on the cuff now.

Jeep offering 300 accessories, wheels, lifts, etc... Throw some 35s with a lift on the 392 - hot damn that baby is going to look good!!!

Donā€™t get me wrong Iā€™m obsessed with the bronco exterior and it looks fuckin fantastic but the 392 has SWAG!!!

This is going to be a fun time watching these two brands outperform each other!
