30 something years of happily married and I’ve never “let” my wife do anything. She pretty much does what she wants and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

My wife happily buys her own Audi A4s every 4-5 years and otherwise doesn’t give a F about my Bronco or my multiple modded STis. She didn’t even notice new wheels and 35s on the Bronco.

I actually like driving her cars and she has no desire to drive mine.

Ours is a 50/50 split fun toy but I'm thinking she's going to be afraid to drive it much. My wife is a shitty driver and can't park a vehicle to save her life.

Ask me about the black wheel she scratched on our last new car with less than 500 miles on it.

We received our Bronco Dec29th 2021 after almost a year after making a reservation. We knew it was going to be a long wait and weren’t in a hurry to get it. Actually, the anticipation made it more exciting and more special when it did come in. Weird, I know.
Anyway, it is a 4 dr cyber orange Badlands with the manual transmission. My wife loved driving it, she drives a manual as well as anyone. But two weeks after getting this one she wants one of her own and places her order. OBX hot pepper red but an automatic. It’s built, in transit. Just not here yet.

The BD is my daily driver and she has her Mazda 3.

The first time she asked to drive it she walked back in the house 20 minutes later and asked if there was something wrong with it. It turns out that she hadn't even made it out of the garage because the nanny sensors were going off. They were pinging off the garage wall and she thought she was going to hit something.

Now that she's been through the Off-Roadeo, she usually drives us home from the bar after I've had 3 or more.

4 months later, I score a job that gives me a company work van and a fuel card, so now my 17yo daughter takes the Bronco to school every day!

I'm trying to sway the wife into a 4dr Bronco instead of the OB, which she likes quite a bit.

I ordered the Bronco in 12/21, then thought I'd rather have a pickup and ordered a Ram in 4/22. I wasn't sure which one I wanted, and then my wife showed interest in the Bronco, so the plan for a while was that we would trade her van for the Bronco, and my Jeep for the Ram. However, with the pending arrival of both, we had some discussions and the van really works better for her. The kids can open the doors and get in their seats all by themselves, and she hated the height of the Jeep when it came to getting the kids strapped in.

So I went with the original plan where I traded my Jeep for the Bronco. And I passed on the Ram.

The Bronco is my wife DD as well, and was ordered just for her. I would rather drive my F250 Tremor, I am way more comfortable in there. Might be different if the Bronco was full-sized like an F150.

If it turns out she likes mine enough to want one I’d be stunned. I did say that I get a Bronco, and she can have whatever she wants. If she said she wanted one, id pick myself off the floor, and happily make an order. I’d be happiest if she liked it enough to think a motor home and a tow bar is a good idea.

I carry around a little step stool to help her get in.

To be fair, she did recently have knee surgery. Safe to say that she'd probably take the Challenger before trying to climb into the Bronco. She likes to 'go fast' anyway.

The Bronco is TECHNICALLY my wife's car. It replaced her VW Atlas for mom-duty.
She drives it during the week and I drive it on the weekend or whenever we are all together.
Luckily, we agreed on what we wanted spec-wise. So it is exactly what I would have ordered if it were my daily.
Currently, my daily is a '15 VW GTI.
