prices seem to normalize, finally was curious enough to check what carvana would give me for my loaded BL with Sasquatch, 52k and change, 10k less than I paid, so no thanks. Not that I'd sell it for 20 over either, but maybe a sign that the current madness of people paying over MSRP for 3 year old used cars is dying down.
So just tell him not worth it, but he should check what his car is worth ;-)

Same. Just out of curiosity (and a nice hospital bill in the mail) I had them shoot me an offer. Same setup, same quote.
honestly if I had some crazy 70k plus offer I would have had to consider it, out of pure logic.

Who paid the down payment? Who is making the loan payments (if any)? Who supplied the trade-in (if any)? If the answer to any of these questions is "you" then you at least have a definite stake in the game. If it is not "him" for any of them, then he needs to find a way to make more money for himself.

Texas is a community property state. Unless the husband bought the car with $$ he had before marriage, like an inheritance (usually), and unless there's a pre-nup to the contrary, the down payment, installments, debt, and the truck itself is jointly owned.

But I agree with those who are advising the Lysistrata treatment.

The price premiums are dropping fast as supplies are increasing. Yeah people are asking a bit for the First Edition, but I think when it comes to what people actually pay on the mainstream models, they might get about $5k-10k over now.

I dont know what its really worth if I tried. theres a first edition on CL for 100k, barrett jackson is selling base models for 220k.

if I could make 20k... should I? Could go get a mustang for the summer and come back with a raptor in a year or 2. but nah.
