My seatbelt doesn't want to retract anymore, does that pretty much count as recall done?

At least it's not like the 90's, when we had those STUPID door-mounted seatbelts that you had to sliiiiide under like you were limbo dancing, or the tracks over the window frames that could choke you to death with the shoulder belt if you weren't in the right position when you closed the door!
I understood this reference. </CaptainAmerica>

As long as this upgrade doesn't delay the delivery/sale of my Bronco that's currently in transit.

I have a 2-door and mine always gets stuck, too. :p Seems like Ford should focus on actual safety issues.....lord knows you can't fix stupid!

@flip do you know if they started installing the clips on the assembly line after May 9? Is there a part number? Or did the design change to not require a clip?

The recall is still advanced notice. So there is no listed repair or part numbers yet.

However, since the recall is only listed on vehicles with a build date up to 5/9, that means any vehicle after that build date doesn’t have the issue.

Unfortunately there have been a few reports of delivery holds, first mentioned 7/5/23.
Affects 4 door models only.

Lucked out and got mine on June 6th, Ford online portal now showing the recall. Odd that the issue would require a delivery hold.

That made me spit coffee out, "blood in, blood out!" ..... 2dr people trying to convice everyone that they made a better purchase is like a 10 year old throwing a tantrum and perfect use of the "Bless your heart" phrase.

This one makes no sense. Drivers are so lazy and easily discouraged as to not buckle up when the latch is not super easy to grab???? Ok.

Just got an email saying that my Bronco has this recall. I've actually experienced this, and the idea that they're doing a recall or any sort of hold is absolutely ridiculous.

Depending on how you have your seat adjusted, the seat belt can get trapped behind the seat and basically doesn't fit very easily between the seat and the B piller (not much of a gap). Mine is even tighter because I have seat covers.

The fix is to simply click your seat up or back like 1 click and it stops it from falling behind the seat in the first place.

When it happened to me the first time, I was like, well that's stupid....and then I proceeded to get the buckle out and "made it click". Never thought for a second they would turn it into some recall.

I wonder what they changed for all those other Broncos that don't need it? Did they make the seats narrower?
