To get sheet metal that doesn't rot and paint that stays affixed. The issues I've seen on one year old Gladiators with paint rejection are insane.

Loved my little 2 door JL Rubi but always wanted a Ford branded off roader. Almost kept the Jeep (it was a blast to drive with 4.88's + manual trans) but definitely a difference in interior size and comfort, Bronco wins hands down. Plus I could feel the tell tale signs of death wobble in the steering when going over various things, didn't want to have to deal with that down the road and definitely didn't want to have my wife driving it if it ever hit hard at speed.

I have always like Broncos since I was a kid. They have always been more special and unique in my mind. Jeeps are just as common as Honda Accords where I live.. As I have gotten older I choose comfort over ruggedness. Bronco is much more comfortable and daily driveable and looks way cooler imo. Constantly correcting the Wranglers steering gets old on longer drives. I really like the more open roof, stowable doors, mirrors with doors off, Sasquatch package, and modularity. I'm happy with my decision. I really like the more open roof

For me it was the $17K (well $19K after Xplan) price difference for similar configuration.

I just realized when I was young buck I had a toy bronco that was red and white and had a removable top. I would pretend I was plowing with it and would set up obstacles in my basement for it to go over. I even had these rubber spiked rings that I put on each tire like chains

Here I am 38 years later waiting for the real thing albeit it gray without the chains

Funny, I forgot about an off road RC car I got for my fifth birthday back in the early 80's. We were in Saudi at the time, and there were berms and sand dunes literally right behind our duplex, and the Persian Gulf about a quarter mile away. Spent hours playing with that thing until my brother took it without telling me and left it in the dunes and we never found it again.

First car I have purchased outside of Toyota for 30 years. I've owned and still own several Land Cruisers. Jeep has created an amazing community built on a subpar product and I will not own one. Death Wobble being only the tip of the ice burg.

We went to KOH a couple of years ago and I saw how the Bronco performed. #1 and #2 in the Everyman challenge displacing Rusty Nail Racing in the 85 Mini truck. I was hooked.

Toyota has left the off road community in the dust and they no longer make a vehicle I can flat tow behind my bus. They are AWD mini vans with the clearance of a Subaru Outback. Found our Bronco and purchased it used while in Bowling Green last fall. Sold my LX450 and we are very happy with the Juice. Although I do have an active eye on LC100 series built right. Cant beat that platform for overlanding. Love my Bronco, but id trade it for the right LC100 series.

Top 5 Reasons I knew that the Bronco was right for me.

1. My parents were not blood relatives.
2. I can read AND write.
3. I don't live at home in the basement with my parents.
4. I don't have a fear of modern technology.
5. I don't have a death wish that involves a steering wheel that feels disconnected.

6. Better electronics
7. 13 Rubicon was starting to show it's age --and the Jeep quirks.
8. Winch and 35's from the factory--though I ditched the crappy Goodyears prior to taking delivery
