how long after you got your truck did you notice a chip in the paint?
Did you freak out and get it fixed immediately or treat it as a badge of honour!

Got one on the first drive home from the dealer. No biggie personally, there will be many more over the next 500,000kms.

In short, I left it alone. Aluminum Doors aren’t gonna rust so no worries

No rock chips, but I did manage to destroy paint on the inside of my tailgate with some poorly loaded cargo. Happened on day two—nice, go me.

Ordered a paint correction pen from the dealer... waited 3 months for it to arrive. And now that paint correction pen is sitting in my cabinet waiting for the weather to not be total garbage.

The sooner you get one, the sooner you can get over having a 'perfect' vehicle and really start enjoying it/using it. I had mine for 2 weeks before I put a big scratch down to metal on the driver door sill. I had plans to put sill guards on, so on one side, it sucks it happened so soon before I put them on, but the sill guards will also cover up most of the scratch anyway.

Got one on the front edge of front hood. It sucked and I worry about rust. My wife said grow up those trucks aren’t meant to be perfect and pretty haha

I've done that too.... DOH. Made several nicks in the "hump" in the tailgate pretty good. I don't even know when it happened, but I know for sure that I've pushed my li'l trunk area to the limits a few times. Hmm, maybe I should look into a paint pen as well.

No garage queen here, I expect to use it as intended. No adventure=no fun.

took paint of my front two doors the one and only time i removed them to see what its all about. Two weeks ago i scratched up two of my rims off roading. Its an off road vehicle, scratch and dents part of the charm.

In our defense the paint on that hump in particular seems to be EXTREMELY thin.

(But at the same time, if I had used 2% more of my brain power I could have foreseen my cargo rolling around, because... well... it was round. :cautious:)

Noticed a little paint chipping but then again my left headlight was backed into so... i didn't care about the paint as much.

Didnt take long for the Goodyears to toss rocks into the doors. At least the bandaid is off.

The wife dinging my door with her car in the garage is another story... still not over that lol
