Solid question with (as you can see) a variety of answers. I have the 2.7L and have zero complaints so far. I never drove a 2.3L so really can't say if it lacks for power or not.

Beat me to it!
Oil catch can. I put one in my Bronco Sport 1.5L. It's doing it's job, 6k miles and have filled it twice.Oh one thing about the 2.3 that I donāt love: direct inject only = carbon build up
I normally try to avoid a smart answer to someoneās question, but couldnāt help myself!Beat me to it!
I drove from TN to CA with a 2.3l and was plenty satisfied. I have heard that 2.3 is pretty wimpy above 10K feet in altitude. Drove through the Rockies and did not notice any loss of power.Need a little help
I have 2022 outerbank on order with 2.7 Motor
What would I be losing if switch to 2.3 motor
I agreeYou would be gaining ground clearance. Apparently thereās something on the 2.7 that hangs down that is not on the 2.3.
Less anxiety? I'd think about having installing an Oil Catch Can. I kinda wish I had picked the 2.3L Ecoboost.Need a little help
