It takes no computing horsepower to speak of, a $50 used laptop will be sufficient. I have an old one that's dedicated to just Forscan.
Yup, I just need to find the time to go buy a used laptop.

The TPMS setting is whatever you set it at. 35, 39, 45, even as low as 15. or the maximum pressure allowed for seating the bead.
Yeah I've never changed it from the factory settings. I just feel like I don't need max pressure every day.

You don't raise PSi for less load. It's all related to heat buildup in the tires.
for the weight of the Bronco it should be at most 32. I suspect Ford is still stinging from the Explorer roll over under inflation.
Firestone can claim they were underinflated all they like. The fact is the tires were defective from the manufacturer. Mine lasted 900 miles before they threw the tread on the rears.

I'm kind of pissed that Ford went back to using Firestones (even if they rebranded to Bridgestone)

Why don’t we just settle this debate with a chalk test? Can someone please complete this for Sasquatch. I got snow on my roads so I would do this but not feasible now.

I have found inflating the tires with helium makes it feel as if you are floating on air, improves your mileage, and reduces road and tire ware, and you get a view as if you are riding on a drown. Need to be careful when you are pulling a trailer...that can be a drag!

I have run 40 PSI in all my trucks since my 1978 GMC van. I run 40 today in my 2017 F-150, as well as my 2009 JK Unlimited. Empty, loaded, towing, etc. Never ever had one problem, ever. Folks worry to much...don't worry...be happy!

Not an answer to your chalk talk....just picked your post. :0)

I've been at 38psi, with heat-up being 30-40psi for colder temps. I'm going to be dropping down to 35-36 cold psi when spring and summer really hit, since the heat will be a great factor for tires and ambient.

If you don’t have a forscan then set your pressures and disconnect the battery for 10 mins. New pressure saved, that easy. My 32” grabbers feel best at 30-32psi.

I run 32-30psi in mine. Passes the Chalk Test where the whole tire tread is on the ground. Very comfortable at this PSI. Sasquatch Tires are rated at 2550 pounds at 35PSI. Front corners on my V6, 4-Door with 37s weigh 1450. No where near the maximum rating.

NO need to run above what the TIRE says is maximum PSI. Ever.

Definitely at that pressure to hit the fuel economy numbers. You can really see it with a manual and sasquatch setup. Let your foot off the gas when going 60mph, and the vehicle slows down fast.

Clutch In. just let it go.

My previous 5-speed was in a 3.8 V6 running some 17" wheels and wide tires (10 in the rear, 9 in the front), and it would glide when pushing in the clutch and letting off the gas. But it also was not built like a flying brick or having to turn some big tires, nor the driveline. This one had a 2-liter blower, built block and built heads , air to water intercooler, and a lightened flywheel and stage 2 clutch. Factory the motor was rated at 190 crank HP. I was pushing 440 wheel HP and gobs of torque.

I think that everyone is glossing over the real issue at hand....you're going to get the best MPG and tire tread life if you let the dealer do the 100% Nitrogen. If you didn't pay for the Nitrogen upcharge and aren't running 100% N2 then you're doing it wrong.

My combined GVWR x 1.10 (metric safety factor) = 1,650# per tire. Using the ETRTO Metric Inflation table for a stock tire, 113t load index and it will carry 2485# at 35 psi (my door jamb sticker). For a LT Goodyear Territory @ 35 psi, using the TRA inflation table it will carry 2535# at 35 psi. At 40# is will carry 2685#. Plenty to support any GVWR of the Bronco plus some. My guess is that the engineers know many may choose to air down for "off road" so they want the tire to be overrated so that it can still carry the truck's fully loaded GVWR even at low off road pressures. Just a thought.

But the tire is rated for a "maximum" load at 35 PSI putting 39 PSI in it won't increase the maximum load of the tire. All that adding the extra PSI is doing is making the tire less compliant and probably worse handling.
The auto manufacturer chooses the tire pressure in conjunction with the tire manufacturer for best performance and rider comfort in mind. More goes into that tire pressure on the door jam than you think.
