I wouldn’t own any car I didn’t feel comfortable driving. My best advice for you is to sell it (🙏 to me) and buy something you’re thrilled with.

Issues like these are serious, difficult to diagnose/replicate, difficult to resolve, etc you shouldn’t expect any company to start flying off half cocked unless the company is run by chimps. Sell it (to me) and move on.

Your engine will be at the 3000 mile grenade point just in time for spring and open air summer enjoyment of your bronco. 😂
My. VW I traded in I put only 42000 miles on it in 9 years never had to change the brakes or rotors lol

If it happens it happens it’s out of all of our control all I know is it’s running great and the dealership did a great pdi on it. Do you think every 21 2.7 will need replacing

Even if there weren't a reported issue with these engines, there's always a chance your vehicle will become disabled, wherever you are and whatever you drive.

If anxiety was holding me back from getting full use of my Bronco, I would spend a little to get a sat phone/messenger and other roadside assistance gear so that I am prepared for the worst. Compared to the cost of a Bronco collecting dust in a garage, that's nothing.
There isn’t much gear to help with losing your engine on a Highway hours away from home on a road trip.

You’re looking at having it towed to a far away unfamiliar ford dealer, getting a rental or loaner, cutting your tip short, and then driving or flying back to get your bronco when Ford finally fixes it.

Disaster

Back in my college days I had a Corolla engine blow up on me while driving through Canada. So I'm familiar with the scenario, plus the added aggravation of being international. Shit happens.

Notes:
- in October a Ford Lima employee (@Jay3630, deleted soon after) made five posts re 'bad batch of brittle valves' - 'April batch' - see posts #1, #2, #3, #4, #5
- if the failures are caused by 'bad valves', maybe that 'April batch' has been working its way thru the system - then the problems could subside ?
- late October a Ford Service Technician wrote a post re nationwide frequency of failures - he said 'about thirty in the last month . . recorded in the Ford Technicians Forum page'

This is some data I ran across...I cannot confirm its' reliability or accuracy ----- 1 in 80 seems pretty bad to me.....Only Honda really impresses me----FYI----

I had zero issues with my gti other than the wheels bent to damn easy when you hit the smallest pothole. I’ll never go back to a car agagin after driving the bronco
