I am getting a bronco because its a total 180 of what I normally buy and it's not a jeep lol.

I want something different from what I've owned/ own.Maybe I'm over thinking the question but I read into it that you like some of the things a Jeep is (off roading capabilities, removable doors and roof) but Jeeps have the negatives you mentioned that the Bronco does not.
So to answer your question... yes, sort of.
I've ridden trails in my in law's jeep and it's pretty fun. It was gifted to my son and then passed on to my daughter so it's kind of our Jeep now. I enjoy driving it but it has had so many mechanical issues and it bounces around on the highway and feels kind of cheap inside. I wouldn't mind having one if it were newer (for reliability), nicer and not so pricey.
But I've driven F150s for most of my adult life so I'm comfortable with Fords and the Bronco hits all the marks for me. The MGV, wash out floors, IFS, modular features, plenty of off road capability, removable doors/roof, less common on the road (currently), and a Ford.
That is totally badass!!!I feel the same way. The wife has a JK, she loves it, and I still love her anyway. I have my toy as well. Even my hardcore jeep buddies will give me grief for not having a jeep. I tell them it is a JEEP, Just Everybody Else's Parts, I've got a Ford Motor, Chevy Axles, Old's Steering column... blah blah. . I still wave back to the Jeeps that wave at me too. Nothing wrong with being outside the box.
Lol ya, I always tell my Jeep buddies to talk to me about Death Wobble when you get it in a Super Duty, on the highway, with 16 round bales on a trailer behind you. That will give you PTSD.Nope. I'm buying a Bronco because I want a Bronco.
Personally I think this whole Jeep vs Bronco, ifs vs sfa is stupid.
The whining about steering wheel shimmy and calling it "Death Wobble" is just sad and pathetic.
Talk to me about "Death Wobble" when you lose a castle nut at 65mph and the tie rod separates from Steering knuckle and this is the only option you have to get home
Or when you have a complete TRE failure [Ram Truck in this instant]
Yeah, I'm partly buying it because it's not a Jeep. Not that I hate Jeeps, but they are a penny-a-dozen (even less than dime-a-dozen ).I could buy any vehicle I want. I've looked at Jeeps, but I think they are ugly, and they are absolutely ubiquitous out here - at any stop light, if I look around there will be at least 3 Jeeps.
And, I'm kind of a "Ford guy," event though I've owned other brands.
I want something that's just a little less run-of-the-mill.
Listen to your wife more often. She knows what she's doing! No, if I had my choice I would have bought the Jeep already and not had to go through this but my wife wants the Bronco.
Im not a patient person lol.Listen to your wife more often. She knows what she's doing!
"Felt like I was in a coffin."My first car I ever purchased was a 93 Bronco, two-toned blue with white stripe. I loved that car. Put a 3 inch lift on it. After 10 years, engine gave out. Would have bought another one but stopped production. Now that they are back and my Jeep Grand Cherokee is probably on its last legs, getting another Bronco. Nostalgia probably and it looks awesome. Drove a Wrangler as a loaner and felt like I was in a coffin. I am 6’2”. I am ready to go back to my Bronco.
